Billing Overview
Understand Your Cashflow
The Billing Overview report provides a transparent overview of the billing lifecycle in your affiliate program – from initial conversion validation to advertiser invoicing and final partner payout. It is designed for Finance teams who need to track, reconcile, and act on billing and commission data at both advertiser and partner level.
What the Report Shows
This report helps you answer:
How much has been validated but not yet invoiced?
How much commission is approved but not yet paid?
Where is the cashflow pending – on the advertiser or partner side?
What was actually confirmed and paid in the selected period?
You can drill down by month, advertiser, partner, and billing mode to narrow your analysis.
Lifecycle of a Conversion
Each conversion goes through several financial stages (illustrated in payment mode post payment standard):
Conversion (open)
A tracked event, not yet validated or approved.Validation (Conversion approved)
Conversion is either auto-approved or manually approved by the advertiser.Invoice Billed
Finance team issues an invoice to the advertiser manually.Advertiser Payment → Conversion Confirmed
Once payment is received, the conversion is confirmed.Commission Billed
A credit note or reverse invoice is issued to the partner for their commission.Commission Paid (Partner Payout)
Commission is paid out to the partner via the defined payment method.

How the Report Is Used
This report is typically used by the Finance team to:
Monitor unbilled conversions to ensure all approved conversions are invoiced
Track invoiced conversions and follow up with advertisers on payment status
Identify commissions ready for payout and verify that partner billing aligns
Reconcile commission paid vs. billed for reporting and audit
Support monthly closing processes and performance evaluations
Filtering Options
To tailor the report to your needs, you can filter by:
Month – e.g., to view all billing data for May 2025
Advertiser – to isolate cashflow status per client
Partner – to track what needs to be paid out to each publisher
Billing Mode – useful for comparing postpay vs. prepaid billing models
Important Notes
Invoicing to advertisers is manual – handled by the Finance team.
Commission billing to partners may follow reverse invoicing/credit note logic.
The report uses actual status timestamps (approval/confirmation), not just last edit times.
All data comes from your core platform’s transaction and billing modules.
Depending on your configuration, some fields may reflect revenue shares, fixed models, or hybrid deals.
