How do I create an account for a new partner?
Before you start
Usually, partners will sign up for your platform themselves. However, you might find it handy to create an account for partners, so all they need to do is to login and start generating conversions. To do so, you will need the following data: the partner’s name, a physical address, an email-address and information on the ad space via which the partner will be generating conversions.
Getting started
Make sure you are logged in in your admin UI, click on ‘partner’ in the main navigation menu and click on ‘create new partner’.
Creating a partner account
Main settings
As soon as you’ve clicked on ‘create new partner’, a page will appear where you can fill in all the basic details of your partner. Name, address and email-address are mandatory – please note the email-address you fill in under ‘registration email’ will be used as login name. If you want, you can also add other contact details, such as a phone number.
In the right column, under country settings, you choose a language, a billing country and the currency in which the data in the partner’s account will be displayed. Of course, the partner will later be able to change these settings. Under entity, you choose what entity will be responsible for the payout.
Lower in the right column, you can create a password for your partner’s account. The password that you create for this partner is now only an initial access password. Partners, upon first log in with the access password, will be prompted to set their own password. Alternatively, you can send your partner the link to the page on which he can request a new password directly.
On the bottom left you can change the payout limit which defines when a partner will be considered for payouts. You can further change the key account for this partner. This is by default set to ‘by entity default’ but can be changed to any other platform user.
When you have filled in the main settings, click on the button proceed at the bottom of the page.
Ad space settings
After you’ve clicked on the proceed button, a new page will be loaded on which you can fill in all the details related to your partner’s ad space. Mandatory fields are the project title and the default URL and the country of promotion. Giving the ad space a category is highly recommended. Optionally, you can add a description of the ad space and note whether the partner uses a controversial marketing strategy such as banner farms or forced clicks under special feature.
If you are done, click the save button at the bottom of the page. When you do so, you will see an overview with all the partner data you have entered. From here, you will be taken back to the main partner page.
