Creating ad media

Preparation

To create a new ad media item, you need the following data:

  • For banners: an image URL.

  • For text links: a text.

  • For a HTML item: a source code.

Apart from that, you might want to take some time to figure out a good name for your ad media item. To allow your partners to work effectively with your advertiser’s ad media, omake sure the name contains information on the purpose of the item. In the case of banners and HTML, it is also recommendable to mention the size of the item. A good example of an ad media item name would be ‘Christmas campaign banner 120×60’.

Choosing an ad media kit

When you are creating a new ad media item, the first thing you need to do is choose an ad media kit. To do so, make sure you are on the main ad media page. For a start, let’s have a closer look at the the overview of the ad media kits. Apart from the system kits (miscellaneous and rich media), the kits will have a name with the following structure:

7420 Shirts ads (20)

The number in bold is the ID of the kit. What follows is the name and the amount of ad media that has already been created in this kit. If you find an existing kit suiting the ad media item you want to create, all you need to do click on its name. In the right column a list of all the ad media in the selected category will appear.
