CNAME setup with Hover

How to Add a CNAME to Your Hover Hosted Domain

 

  1. Log in to your Hover account

  2. If you have more than one domain in your Hover account, click on the domain name that you would like to use for your custom domain.

  3. Check your Domain Details to verify your nameservers are set to ns1.hover.com and ns2.hover.com

  4. Click on the DNS tab

  5. Click on Add New to add a new DNS record

  6. Enter the Hostname:

    • Host is the subdomain to which the CNAME applies

    • For example, you'd enter try if you're using try.mysite.com

  7. Select CNAME for the Record Type

  8. Paste in the target CNAME URL provided by the Ingenious for the Target Host

  9. Click Save in the Add New window
    Changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate across the internet
